If only the whole of the world could live in my mind. Oh, how I would right the wrongs. Straighten paths that have long ventured past their intended courses. Setting before men and women the ideals of visionaries, making all humanity sing the same songs and breathe the same breaths.
But my efforts end where my hands do. My vision ends at the last place it is heard and so not dealt with. I set out to do something but to only cast a small shadow. I go forward but a few steps. Slightly. Barely enough to say I went.
My only hope is that everyone else sees this world in a congruent manner and follows their shadows their small bit. Bringing flowers and smiles their short distance. Together, righting wrongs and making bended paths fall the very straight ways they ought.
But nothing man does can yield the fruit that they yearn for. So our last resort is God, and we lean fully into His promise. For none of us has absolute power and if any among us did, their lack of wisdom would lead us into the same situations that we are now in.
